Justine Walker

Justine Walker has extensive experience of working with governments, international bodies and global corporations on global sanctions matters. She is the former chair of the European Banking Federation Sanctions Expert Group, a position she held from 2015 until December 2019. Ms. Walker has acted as an independent expert to the United Nations and other bodies on the promotion of payment channels in support of permissible international humanitarian activity within sanctioned and fragile jurisdictions, particularly Syria. As a respected international figure on sanctions compliance matters, she has contributed to a variety of publications and media outlets, addressed United Nations expert groupings, given evidence to European Union and United Kingdom parliamentary hearings and spoken globally at a range of high level forums.
